This policy explains what information pointbuy5e.com ("we", "us") collects when you use the site and what we do with it.
Information we collect
- Anonymous usage counts. Our tools record events such as "the point buy calculator was opened" or "the Roll button was pressed". These are added to daily totals. They contain no name, no email, no IP address and no cookie or other identifier, and they cannot be linked to you.
- Error reports. If a tool hits a technical error, it sends the error message, the page address and your browser type so we can fix the bug. No personal information is included.
- Server and security logs. Like almost every website, our hosting server and security software record technical details of each request, including IP address, browser type and time, to keep the site running and block attacks. These logs are kept only as long as needed for that purpose.
- Email. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.
Data stored in your browser
Some tools save your work, such as your point buy build or encounter, in your browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we add advertising or analytics in the future, we will update this policy before doing so and describe the cookies involved.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share information only if the law requires it.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
